  1. Q. Who is organizing XYZ?

    A. The corporation is made up by individual investors like you and controlled by a seven-member board of directors with three-year term limits. Each year there will be a general election to fill vacated seats on the board as well as officer positions.

  2. Q. What is the campaign goal?

    A. The board had set an initial goal of $200,000 over five years. $150,000 is earmarked as an investment with the YES Campaign. Other investments will be used in the community for additional projects.

  3. Q. What will the money be spent on?

    A. That is up to you. Let us know where you would like to see the money spent. In general, the board has identified advanced technologies, education, quality of life, and higher income jobs as important areas of investment.

  4. Q. Is my personal investment tax-deductible?

    A. We are a 501(C)(3) with the IRS. Your personal contribution is tax-deductible based on your individual tax situation. We recommend you consult a tax professional for additional information.

  5. Q. Are VERVE and XYZ Corporation the same thing?

    A. While we target the same age groups and work closely together, we are two separate entities with different motivations. VERVE is an exciting young professionals group with social events and networking opportunities. XYZ is aimed at raising economic awareness and capital for community reinvestment.

  6. Q. Will XYZ endorse political candidates?

    A. No. XYZ cannot endorse or contribute to political candidates. The corporation is not politically motivated and is strictly interested with reinvesting in the community.

  7. Q. How many investors do you think will be a part of XYZ.

    A. The goal is to have eighty solid investors and another thirty to fifty contributors.
